Heyyyy, So thanks everyone for helping me with my new purchase decision. We've done a few loads in this thing over the last 2 weeks. Did an awesome job on some dendritic opal I'll post pictures eventually. Yesterday noticed it wasn't on and realized the outlet was tripped. (This also happens to be the one to my deep freezer so glad I noticed it, not so glad the freezer sensor is still sitting above it not installed... ) So reset it and moved it to a different outlet for the sake of my deep freezer. Once again it tripped the outlet so gave up and when trying different outlets today it immediately trips any outlet it's plugged into. The machine doesn't make any notion that it's starting and I'm hoping it's not dead. No, I haven't contacted the company yet. I'm waiting to hear back from the company.

It's tripping outlets like the GFCI's you find in bathroom outlets? That's no bueno and I'd hold off plugging it in or touching it while it's plugged in until you figure out a cause.

i had a rotary trip my GFCI once. it seemed to be a fluke, possibly because we'd just added a big freezer on the same circuit? (husband cautioned to just watch it and it was ok afterwards.)
i'm noticing your handle though and my 4 year old just CAUGHT HER FAN in the %@%^^ lot-o fan!!!! We're usually very cautious but she was holding a treasure (a little, unripe peach) and dropped it, bent down fast as lightening to pick it up. OMG those fans need .... something around them!
good luck figuring out what the problem is.

If the motor is wet at all, thoroughly dry it out.

If the Power Plug only has a 2 prong (not grounded) connection , then It's not a GFCI problem.
If it blows the Breaker very quickly, then it sounds like a Dead Short and could cause fire or shock if the breaker keeps working. ---While Unplugged--- , Inspect every bit of wiring, redo any terminal strips or wire nuts. Check to see the shaft on the motor turns freely.

If it is a 3 prong, and you have a multimeter, check resistance (ohms) from the narrow blade to the ground prong.

If the motor is wet at all, thoroughly dry it out. Didn't get wet at all. It is a 3 prong and I think I have a multimeter around here somewhere... I'll check it out. It was in the garage, tried different outlets in the garage and did the same thing so brought it in the kitchen and it tripped the outlets in the kitchen. It is brand new and no damage on the wiring etc. Kids aren't around it I know what you mean about those fans!
