And a pretty face... Thought I'd share a few dremel cabs I completed recently. I worked all these with the dremel and put in the lot o @1000 grit stage - polish. Was pleased with how they came out. All but the last one came from the same slab which I assume is crazy lace. The slab was thin @ just a hair over 5mm thick so the cabs are thin and lightweight. This was from same part of slab as the cab I entered for FCC this month. This one was originally shaped differently but had to alter it due to a fracture. I really like this one but two small little orbs popped out when in the lot o. The two white circles on the middle right side . Doubt il convince myself to rework the cab to smooth out those spots so il live with it. Really isnt that noticable IMO. And the last one of that slab I didnt have much hope about how it would turn out due to the much softer brown matrix but was pleasantly surprised. There was minimal undercutting and didnt mess with the shape of the cab too much. My goal next time will be to work the cab w dremel until ready to move straight to polish stage in lot o and minimize the undercutting as much as possible. And finally this last little Laguna lace came from a fracture filled slab. That's all for now but have bunches in the works so hopefully will post more soon. Thanks for looking and always appreciate all advice, critiques, comments !

Those are all really nice. The orbs coming out of the cab is a bummer, is that common with lace agate? Thank you. As for orbs popping out of crazy lace I'd say in my limited experience it's not uncommon for it to come apart at the seams between diff layers.

That is beautiful material! Thanks! It was a very large slab but a lot of matrix and unusable area.but the workable areas were great.

Beautiful work AND material. I have lost many an orb in OJ. I feel your pain. But, it really doesn't look bad, at all.

Very beautiful faces! The one with the brown matrix is a little disturbing, though. I see a wild man lookin' at me.
