Wow that's beautiful Chuck and a lucky cut! If the stone were oriented the other way the agate face could have been a lot smaller and barely noticeable?
I wonder what polishing it will be like - the agate is going to be significantly harder than the rest of the stone I think. Keep us updated for sure.

I actually found one with a sparkly flake of "gold" on the exterior. Whether it was pyrite or a mica or the fabled gold not sure. Definitely don't see it on them. I'd have to look through to see if I find any pudding agate inclusions. I thought I may have seen a red lsa agate portion but not positive. I'm sure you've both also seen the green parts of the quartzite. What is that? I don't know what the green is. One of my students just sent me a picture of one she found that had some light green in it. I have also seen some pictures online with very green pebbles in them. I'm not sure if I've ever found green or not. It sure isn't common. I cut a rock on commission a couple weeks ago that had several green areas. I would not say it is common but I do not get excited about it either. This one shows the green These are individual shots of each slab. (one got photoed twice on accident) Chuck
