A member of the Aussie Lapidary Forum designed this for another member who has a friend battling cancer and is an Elephant collector. I decided to have a go, difficulty out of 10 is a 12, but a lot of fun. Dark Citrine/ Smokey Quartz, 23mm Diameter 35 Carats

The design is a standard hunk of rock faceted, not intarsia. facets on the top (crown) are frosted for the elephant shape. There are a few of these sort of things around, butterflies, scorpions, spiders, Religious symbols etc. Commonly with the design on the bottom (pavilion) so you look through the stone to see the design.

I've been watching that thread on the Aussie Lapidary Forum, to see the results. Looks great, though tricky.

Wow, you did a great job on that! I've seen plenty of these but the elephant is a first for me.
