Experimenting With Quilt Square Pattern Intarsia

Last year a friend, who is a quilter suggested that I try using quilt Square patterns to create Intarsia. She gave me several patterns and I was a bit hesitant at first however upon close examination, I realized that several of the designs could be scaled down to work. My first try was a Maple leafs pattern and I used some block composition/recon material as it was soft and would go quicker. As I got into the process I realized that it was basically a composition of repeating smaller patterns. The second project was a different pattern using my 2nd favorite material, Palmwood. They both turned out pretty good and with more practice I should be able to get all the "points" in the adjacent sections to meet up properly. (shades of "meet point" faceting).
