Near an abandoned copper mine in northern NV. Got excited when I saw this chunk of chrysocolla in a wall with a 40 foot exposed vein that someone had obviously worked a lot. Pried it out, about 40 lbs. Got it home and knocked off a couple corners. Disappointing. Looks like of the blue is nothing more than skin. A purty fraud, but a blue skinned fraud nevertheless. Oh well. It will make a purty yard rock for a friend of mine.

Can't say how many of those I've windowed or sliced - usually with the same result.
Will never quit trying, though. Sometimes we get a pleasant surprise.
