Hmm twostorms.. kinda hard to see the grain without better closeup shots. But, I'll hazard a guess on some:
1st pic: little red rock at the center could be jasper; lower right might be a gray granite. or might be a battered, chipped schist, depending upon the grain and minerals it has within. 2nd pic: the upper center white one looks to be quartz; the yellow rock at mid-center could also be jasper. 3rd pic: the upper right looks like pink granite, pink part being plagioclase feldspar. You might want to do a hardness test on all of them too. ed

Thanks Ed, I'll try to get some better close-ups tomorrow and try the hardness test too. I appreciate your input!

I got them in Glendive Montana on the banks of the yellowstone river, right next to a set of rail road tracks, ya got any idea what I have here? Bob
