I’ve been inspired to do some cutting the past few days, I don’t often just play with the saw. I thought I’d share the goods here and ask for an ID, or see if someone that knows picture jasper could point me in the right direction!
First up, some really nice Rocky Butte:
Next, some sowbelly agate from Creede, CO:
A couple nice parrot wing jasper:
Some really nice Turritella agate from Wyoming:
My mystery piece...got this at a rock shop that was going out of business. Nothing was labeled, so I really have no idea where it might be from. I could see that it might be a picture jasper from the outside, and this is what’s inside when I cut. Biggs? It doesn’t seem all that tight grained though, but it does take a nice polish. Does anyone have a suggestion?
