I got a very interesting slab of Deschutes (bottom right). I laid out two preforms on the slab intending two cut the bottom right of the slab (shown) and then see what was left. With the first cut the one laid out upper left diintegrated and the blade wasn't even in the same universe. The Ocean Jasper (upper left) fractured without warning as soon as it was ground with a previous preform of the same material. The Willow Creek is hacked up so the top becomes the bottom. The Morgan Hill was a really tight fit for the pattern and shape I Chose. The replacement Butterfly Wing hasn't shown in USPS tracking so I thought I should make some more. The slab was a little over 12mm so I hand split it and did a pretty good job 5.5/6.5 even and not hacked up.

They all look like premium materials. Looking forward to see them done.

My eye keeps going back to the first one, that is a real eye catcher.

I saw the Deschutes slab on ebay and it really caught my eye. It was wild. I was hoping to get two cabs from the slab but the rest fractured. I waited two months to cut it. My Other favorite is this Butterfly Wing. It looks like an impression of a butterflies wing or part of a very large butterfly's wing. The material is called Butterfly Wing jasper but except for the colored areas it' all agate. It took a mirror polish. The lower center right area and some other places is see through. A better picture:
