My body has to remind me of my age. Too much time on the wheels along with yard work equals sore back. I shut down for 3 days and felt ok enough to trim some preforms. I'm not sure when I will feel good enough to start grinding. 7 Blue Dream/Nightmare with 3 requiring redrawing after fracturing. I don't expect them to all to hold together. 2 Noreena and a Morrisonite. I had a smaller Morrisonite that fractured.

Nice colors and patterns on those preforms. Looking forward to seeing how they come out. Hope you feel better soon

I dopped five; 3 Blue Dream, the Morrisonite and a Noreena. I'm going to work in short intervals until I'm 100%. I mounted a new top 80 wheel so I would spend less time grinding. It cut Morrisonite like butter without chipping. I'll be using three 80 grit wheels to do the doming. New top 80, old top 80 and a worn dp.

A weight belt will help your back

Nice slabs. How thick do you generally cut? As for your back...poor you. It is one part of the body that you don't think about unless it hurts and then you can think about nothing else. Hope you feel better soon.

I try to cut a little over 1/4 inch but have not mastered the slab saw. Some a little to thick and some a little too thin but usable most of the time.
The last time my back was giving me problems I went to physical therapy to learn some stretching. My back got better and I slacked off and here we are again. I considered a weight belt. Cabbing usually causes problems in my upper back and I just need to rest when it starts to get fatigued. The current issues were lower back, hips and thighs. I increased my anti inflammatory medication, resumed stretching, icing and limiting time sitting at the computer. I also bought a new ergonomic chair since the one I had outlived it's usefulness.

Nice cabs..... Back problems are not fun! That's why I only cab material every three years or so. It hammers me into the ground, with L3 L4 L5 partially missing... Walking helps my back out more than anything... Heal up and get busy....

The shine on those is great Stephen Thanks. I use two pre-polishing wheels and a new pad with 100k diamond paste and an old pad with 100k diamond paste. I'd rather put the paste from the new pad on the old pad instead of just wiping it off. The Noreena polished the best I've done with that material. I need to learn how to take pictures that really show the shine.

These are a great improvement to a couple months ago, whatever you are doing different works

I like all of them. I know something about what you mean, the old body. I spent 5 hours cutting on the saw the other day, and created a really bad kink in my neck/spine that hurts whenever I do anything else now. Probably broke a vertebrae or something! I really like the triangle rock best, and it looks like you went and shaped it first. Wow! That is a real looker. I would be happy to have any of them to grind on though. Thanks for sharing!
