Here ya go!
Not anywhere near perfect, and I now have quite a bit more respect for people that wrap. The stone not being anywhere close to symmetrical in any dimension made it hard for me to work with. Thickness is quite different from side to side. Just a tumbled rock, no shaping.
AND - you should have seen my face when I got to the bail and had an 8 quilled porcupine of loose wires instead of the TWO I'm used to with a groove wrap!!! Took me a while to decide what to do with that. I read part of a tutorial up to about the side bindings, to begin with, and decided to just dive in.
I really like the way it woke up this rock, though!
Thanks for looking! Would love to hear anything you have to say about it, negative or not!

I like it, Eric! Way better than my first, and better than some I do now. It looks like you handled the porcupine just fine. Nice job, sir!

I bet you didn't have practice groove wrapping though, with your first one. You've come quite far my friend. I enjoy seeing you progress daily

I think you did pretty darn good on your first one.
One thing I would suggest is that you use 1/2 round to bind your wires together at the top of the wrap. There are many ways to do this and you can look up the different ways, but one of my favorite ways to do it is the wrap the 1/2 round a couple of times around the wires and then make your bail with however many wires you want for it. Figure out how many wires you want for embellishing the bail and what you don't want to use, you can clip off. Then wrap the 1/2 round around the remaining wires (including the ones you bent over for the bail) about 3 times or so to hold it all. I will usually at this point roll the bail wire ends under toward the back of the cab after I've clipped them even. This will lock them in place pretty good. Then use your remaining wires as you wish.
Like I said, there's many ways to do it -- this is just one of them.

Great job!! You hit on all the right notes. I love how neat it is and how tight you got it. Very respectable. Bails are the bane of all wrappers. I have a piece right now sitting unfinished in a baggie for a week waiting for me to decide how to finish it. It happens.

First wrap? This is great! I think you have a lot of imagination. You matched the type of wire to the stone really well. The bail is neat. It is hard for me to make 3 wire bails.

I love this!! Looks great, don't be so hard on yourself. Practice makes perfect right? Also keep in mind that whatever issues you have with something you've made, 99% of the time, other people just see the beauty

I've got to start digging further back in these threads!
I'm not a rapper...or wrapper...so I've got no critique to give. I'm just in awe. This looks absolutely stunning to me Eric!
