Here's a finished batch of Mexican Crazy Lace. I finished this a week ago, and seemed pretty happy with the results. I had a few South Dakota Agates that I threw in to fill the barrels up. Right now I'm currently tumbling the rest of the South Dakota Agate mix. Man, this stuff is HARD! I had shards flying everywhere just trying to break it small enough for me 3lbr's. Enjoy the pictures! This stuff is just to addictive...but I LOVE IT! Love that Mex. Lace and you have some beauty's there!
Be careful of those shards! I was busting something up on day and a shard embedded itself in my thigh! Needless to say, it hurt!

KD, I use Aluminum Oxide. I always put some Karo Syrup or Sugar in with the final polishing. It thickens the slurry up and I would guess cushions the rocks a little more. Thanks for all your KIND Comments....still learning! Steve

Beautiful colors and shine. Do you save your polish? I started putting sugar in mine, and saved my polish. When I went to use it, it had soured. Smelled terrible, but still seems to work. Trish

WOW! Beautiful colors in that lace! Can I ask where you got it? I make jewlery and stuff like that is top notch for me. Fabulous shine, too. The wonderful thing about agates, as hard as they are the finished product is just glass like. Try cerium oxcide as a polish for agates. It's always given me awesome results. Great job!

Great looking batch Seve! I have a batch of Mex lace going right now. I'm very anxious to get them into the polish stage (They're going onto 5 weeks of coarse). How many weeks of coarse did yours roll in?

Wow, that's a nice batch of mex lace!! It sure turned out nice. Lots of color and excellent shine! Good job!
I got some mex lace from llana a while back that's still waiting for an empty barrel.. hopefully it won't be too much longer..
Thanks for the pics
