I ordered a one pound piece of rough from Australia and it took 4 weeks to arrive. The face shown in the bottom picture was not flat so I faced the other end. The picture on the left is the new face and the picture on the right is the heel. The heel will produce one slab. The faced piece is wedged shape, I will glue it to a board and angle the board so the first slice is relatively parallel to the good side. The next cut will be a surprise.   |

I do not believe I have ever seen Mook like that. The cab/cabs you get should be quite unique.

The material is super hard. First time in a while I needed to tighten the set screws on my arbor. I chase unique and when I saw this piece I had to buy it.

Cutting this piece was like multiple surgeries, not slabbing. It was a struggle.  |
