Here are a few new cabs. They vary a lot in shape and type but they were the preforms that were "next up" in my cabbing box. Willow Creek Jasper I cut this one from a fragment of a slab. I almost decided to make it into 2 stones but now I'm glad I didn't. Stone Canyon Jasper This was supposed to be a much larger cab but due to hidden fractures it evolved into this little pear shape. Pink Imperial Jasper Heart I haven't cut a heart shape in many years. This particular material suggested that shape to me so I had a go at it. There's lots of room for improvement - they're harder to cut than I remember. Thanks for looking and have a great holiday weekend.

3 beauties! Hard to pick a favorite, but I think the Willow Creek nudges out the Imperial by a hair.
Those hearts are dang hard to cut. I think you did a great job on yours especially since you haven't cut one in a long while.

Great cutting, Rick. I think that your heart is superb. It looks like the heart is emerging from swirling clouds, or that a cloth veil is falling away to reveal it. The heart's arcing lines seeming to disappear into the clouds/cloth really makes the illusion work.
