I bought a 14.8 oz piece of Blue Tide on ebay. The seller had a lot of pieces and was very helpful choosing one. Very solid material. I got 3 slabs and two heels. If I were more precise with the slab saw I could have had 4 slabs. Plenty to work on.

That's a fascinating looking material! I hadn't heard of it until this post. I really like the colors.

I was waiting for some Blue Tide that I made from previously purchased material to sell before making more. Someone bought two this morning and since I had the trim saw set up. I laid out 3 preforms from one slab. I trimmed two and the third fractured which is to be expected. I ground and dopped one.
