Thats looks great. I have a lot of Jade but none like that. I just acquire some California jade but it is a motted green and white and green and black. It is excellent jade.

That's spectacular. I really like that piece. Wow. Thanks! It’s by far my best dendritic jade find, solid and good blue color. The quality in color is hard to come by in Northern California, most of what I find are muddy opaque greens. This particular piece had an oxidized rind and I picked it up mainly because it was dense and seemed to be very solid. I was surprised when I opened up the saw to say the least. Have you figured out what you're going to do with it yet? I'm sure it's destined for something special.

Maybe a special carving, but only if the style allows maximum retention of the material. I hate the waste of precious material that's so inherent in some designs.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen dendritic jade before. Very cool. With the blue color, is it Sonoma County?

I don’t think I’ve ever seen dendritic jade before. Very cool. With the blue color, is it Sonoma County? This was a Trinity county find. Similar color to the Vonsen blue for sure. Ah! Haven’t collected there yet.

I love dendritic anything. There is just some special about it. Careful with dust when cutting or carving. It is related to asbestos and would have similar concerns. I was 3 KM away (after a 150KM drive out of my way) to collect at an abandoned asbestos mine last weekend, but bridge was washed out. I will get there next time, but won't leave if I find a rock like yours. I went to an old barite mine instead, but didn't find much.

None of it is very good for the lungs
