I am kind of falling behind on taking pictures and cataloguing. It takes some time. I am glad I created so many cabs when the weather was nicer, as it is 115 in the garage these days. Here are some more.
P122 - Columbia Dioptase Picture - Smaller wire used with medium sized rock. I think there is a picture here but can't really imagine what it is. Maybe "march of the ants"?
P123 - Perkinsville Agate Oval - Another longer stone with narrow 24 gauge wire. I couldn't really get a good picture of this even though I put it against two or three backgrounds. Odd shape (no bezel) to wrap.
P124 - Dark Dioptase Freeform - I don't know what the black (darker color) is in this rock. I has a very large crown. Another one I couldn't get a good picture of really.
P125 - Gunlock Chalcedony Swan - I found a lot of Chalcedony (could be called Agate I guess) at a new location recently. Here is one. It looks to me like there is a swan in the stone, which is hard to tell at this angle.
P126 - Dioptase Fishing Lure - Someone in a prior batch mentioned that if I put a treble hook on one of my wraps that I could have a fishing lure. Which is the whole inspiration for this complex project. I'd bite. Wife says I ruined another good stone.
P127 - Jasper Hematite Tear (Front) - A small chip of stone that I chiseled off a large boulder in a Magnesium quarry near by. Very small (about an inch or so tall stone).
Some stones are finished on both sides. The stone is not asymmetric, so it is not surprising that I messed up the binding at the bottom
P128 - Dioptase White Fatty - Very tall crown on this, and that makes it hard to wrap. But I got the tension so high that the stone will be held in place. After finishing it I didn't want to bend any accent wire, so I left it as is.
P129 - South Cady Brownie - I had a hard time taking this picture because the stone is so dark. When grinding it I thought that it was a brighter, nicer rock. But to me after wrapping it, I just felt bleh about this pendant.
That's it for right now. I will probably try to post the next set soon. I might have 200 stones sitting and waiting to get wrapped. So lots of practice.
Thank you for stopping by!
