You know that feeling when you sigh and give up on a rock? You've tried test cuts all over it and all you've seen is this? I gave up on this Laguna agate as junk and decided to chop it up for tumbler filler. I put it on the saw and ran it through and saw this. My face was like... The crystal band is beautiful when light hits it. Now I have to decide whether to polish it as a specimen or tumble or try a cab. Decisions decisions.

That's a great idea Greig. I'll give it a try. I'm just starting to learn how to cut cabs. I have a few partially finished so far. I need to learn to make the domes correctly.
