More of the lovely rocks I got at the estate sale. Agates Not sure but the white one with blue is cool, you turn it over and it has kinda peachy pink in the middle granite and not sure on the orange one

I think that orange one with the granite might be very coarse grained granite. Looks like some big quartz crystals in it. Might be something like orthoclase though.

5th pic down, the round one in front is an whole agate nodule I think. it has agate type swirls on outside of it.

youare right, some of those are biggun's, you must have had a hard time not showing your excitement til you hauled them all into your vehicle.

4th pic down, on top left, I think it is thunder egg. Just saw one on ebay that looked similar.
Anyone ever polished a thunder egg?

Yea- Got some in there now!!! (took a hammer and chisel to it and WACK WACK WACK- lots of little chunks! the inside part (quartz) is comming along fine- the outer shell (?) is hard as heck in some spots and soft in others- It is getting a pitty and is gonna be a problem in later stages(I think I'll pull it after course- buzz the outer skin off on the grinder- then toss it back in for a finishing run!)
