Found these rocks while hiking near Big Bear Lake CA. Help identifying these would be much appreciated. Bottom rocks in pics have been tumbled.

The looks from here......
Top - either a Basalt or Granite deposit. Both will take to a tumbled shine...........common material in that region.
Bottom - Iron lined/infiltrated milk Quartz........again will take to a tumbled shine.........common material in that region. Some can be very interesting specimens.
If the fire roads are open (which I doubt this time of year), try hunting in the upper west area of Holcomb Lake. Lots of interesting variegated Chalcedony shards and "almost" optical quartz can be found just below the surface, along the hill side banks. Don't let the dead tree and shrub foliage discourage you.
