Was finally able to mow along one side of field. Stopped at times to look at the large rocks that the flooding uncovered. Lots of photos, wet, dry and damp. What I brought back: This is the largest of these I have found. It appears to be a jasper/hematite mix with quartz veins. Is slightly magnetic. Think this is another Niagara Escarpment chunk of coral. A large piece of the blue stuff I keep finding. This one is slightly different. Some blue areas are quartz like. There are also some cream/tan flecks of quartz in one area. These rocks are somewhat soft, maybe a 5 Mohs. Some areas absorb water quickly. Thanks for looking.

Sorry, the last one does not really show the blue areas well. Some are very light, like robin's egg blue when scratched. The blue quartz like areas are more of a midnight blue. If anyone has ID suggestions for all I would appreciate it.

Those are some cool looking rocks fernwood! I love all the patterns and colors. The one with the lemon color in the center looks interesting :-)

The blue stuff. Any chance it’s a variant of basalt?
