This latest batch was finished in my lot-o-tumbler. The rocks came from many sources. Many were redoes, a number of them were ground endlessly before they showed any interest, some were partly done but something more interesting came along and hijacked the barrels! Most are local rock (not the garnets). First picture is an overview of the entire batch: These following ones are close ups of some of my faves. Any input about rock ID would be appreciated very much!

Puppie, those pink stones turned out really nice, looks like they took a good shine too. That's a great looking batch, really colorful.

Nice job on the garnets!!!! Those are first class- I'm finding that the garnets I collect (out KD's way) just are too fractures to work with in the tumbler- Yours look great!

That is a lot-a-rocks! I love the rocks in the lower left corner of the second detail picture with the circular pattern and then upper left with the nice shine and the swirl and fracture csroc

Hi -- I love those too, even the fracture. All of these have a great shine and the pinks have been a problem polish in the past. The new camera is weird, the same rocks seem to show their shine in one photo, but not another.

Puppie, New camera, takes a bit of getting used to. I am soooo glad I finally got a digital camera. Like most things, I have spent enough time with it to do a few things well but I still haven't mastered everything (time time time or the lack)...I noticed your colors seem to be pretty good. I think I'm getting too much yellow, probably indoor lighting. csroc
