Can you tumble bone or antler? My hubby asked. The question is if you could get either smooth, more like ivory. Obviously what species bone might matter? Reeniebeany

There is a way to do it. It may not be a brilliant polish. We call it a matte finish. Bone may have to be dry tumbled. Some members are familiar with the process. Some abrasives are bright white, or a strong color that could imbed into any marrow or cavities in the bone. Dry or wet tumbling. Polishing ceramic media might be the best way to go. Industry uses them for polishing plastics.

I tumble antlers (deer and Elk), pieces and animal teeth, they come out great! The process is only five days on each grit, instead of seven... Have fun and enjoy...
