I hope these pictures come out. Found these small agates on the hills of Starr County near Rio Grande City, Texas. Turned one of them into a pendant. ralph

WoW Ralph, those are gorgeous. What a great find! Bet you'll be spending more time down there looking, I know I would be. Great job on the pendant too.

Those are really nice and they are the closest I've seen yet to the stuff I pick up locally in the streams and rivers. You also are working around the vugs and I like the way you worked them in -- they can't be altogether eliminated so you have to figure out how to make them a feature or at least not detract. Not so easy.

very cool looking rocks! love the banding. i think i'd end up coyote food if i was in a place that had rocks like that. i'd be out there looking all the time!

Thanks all for the kind words. Most of the agates I find around here have little vugs. All I can do is rough tumble 'till they get as small as possible and then just grit my teeth and move them on to 110-220. Now you know where I plan to be in the early morning of july 4th! (early morning because the temperature gets into the mid 100's by noon!) ralph
