Found this rock in a pile of landscaping rocks delivered to me.
Sent the picture to a geologist in the state of Ohio USA. Here is what he said. "The red rock is a chunk of microcrystalline quartz, either agate or jasper. I’m going to call it agate because it looks an awful lot like agatized wood (petrified wood). But since you don’t know where it came from, I can’t be sure. But I’d be good with calling it petrified wood. Really nice rock, anyway."

Wouldn't be surprised if it's from Arizona or nearby, with those colors

Wow, nice! Haha, we'll be adding landscape rock to our backyard, and I swear I'm planning to go choose based on 'finds' in a pile, so I can rockhound in my yard. Found this in a neighbor's sidewalk on our evening walk~
