Thanks to advice on the forums I was able to use my Dremel to drill holes in my Agate and a rough emerald/quartz I got tumbled from Wish I have some fold over bails for the flat agate but am wondering if there is something I can snap and secure into place through the cut hole instead of using a bail. The emerald is cut from the side because the top was too fragile to drill into, I don't have any bails that can fit it. instead of just putting a chain or something through it, is there something more fancy I can do with it? I have a side question while I am here. I have another slab of agate but is much darker but pretty when in water. I tried tumbling it, and it didn't help get that polished look. Can I use a Dremel polish attachment to polish it so even when it's dry it will retain that polished look?

For the Montana agate a lot of people simply make a jump ring to go through the hole which will be large enough to also accommodate a chain. That's probably the easiest thing to do and quite acceptable.
For the emerald, because it is fragile, as you say, I don't think you could do much. Maybe run a wire through with loops on each end to fix a chain on.

For the emerald you could also just put a very fancy cord through it or you could put a bit of small tubing in the hole to strengthen it up and then put a chain through it. If it's fragile I probably wouldn't put a metal chain through it without some reinforcing. A silk or other fiber cord wouldn't be too rough on it.
Could you post a picture of the one you want to polish? Depending on how big the slab is, using your Dremel to polish it probably isn't the best idea. You could hand polish it using different grits of SIC on a piece of glass if you wanted to spend the time doing it.
