I mark the face with a fine sharpie to trim. When I redraw the shape on the back I use a pencil because it is a thinner line. The line washes off and I need to redraw and sometimes I can't reuse the template. I ordered some extra fine sharpies and they will be here tomorrow. I don't draw lines for free forms is so I made 4 from scraps or preforms that turned into scraps. The Blue tide has a template shape and I flipped it so I had the sharpie markings.
