Not what I was expecting. Design challenging.

I see a couple of easy picks for cabs but to get the most of that does look like a challenge, but also looks like worth the extra effort.

That's a great looking material! The pale blue plumes look like lightning or plasma.

I'm really stoked to see what comes out of these! I LOVE the looks of those stones! I agree with kyoti that it looks like plasma! Stunning!

Buying rough from pictures, even faced is challenging. Blue Tide has a lot of different looks. The pieces I've got were plumes, matrix and clear quartz. I've seen pictures where the plumes are with white quartz. I buy most of my material on ebay and when it is rough, I send pictures of the slabs to the seller and when it is slabs, I send pictures of the cabs. They like it.
I would have preferred to get the same Blue Tide as before but different is good. The cabs I make will have a different look than the ones I previously made. The light colored material in the middle if the bottom right slabs looked green to me but my wife who is a color expert said brown. The ebay Blue Tide seller wondered how the light colored material would polish and I am guessing she hasn't seen it before and she sells a lot of Blue Tide. It is pretty dense and I expect it will polish well. I won't know for a while because the air quality is bad and I am waiting for it to get better before resuming the grinding.

I've made a dozen cabs with the material so far. It is more likely to fracture with the trim saw then the wheels. I don't stabilize. Gentle touch and fingers crossed.

Some people don't stabilize...some people just aren't "stable"...there's a world of difference between the two! LOL Can't wait to see what you come up with these!

The piece above was a bomb. It falls apart on the trim saw. I will get some cabs but not a good purchase. I messaged the seller before I bought asking about 4 pieces. I didn't provide any message feedback about the piece I bought but I was offered 20% off one of the pieces I was interested in. It was wedge shaped and the only issue was how many slabs. The price was right so I bought it. I slabbed it today. It has a lot of quartz and will be very solid.
