Wow, that stuff is really neat. No idea what it is but I sure like the color. Hope you gathered plenty of it, that looks like it would make a very nice pendant.

Thanks for comments here and in other threads...I don't have time to answer them all right now (work is the curse of the drinking class, you know). Moss agate? I also wonder. It's those speckles that make it really weird. Cher, I only found one rock like this -- I busted it up. It was in an area with a lot of rounded rocks in many colors but this one was a standout. At the time I found it I was thinking green aventurine...but that was a year ago, and as bad as I am at rock ID now, I was worse then, and I've changed my mind after looking at a lot of photos of aventurine and a few samples. I agree about a pendant, I'm thinking I'll pick out my favorite and get it made into some kind of pendant. I have another one I'd like a pendant of, it is really pretty & I should post a photo soon.

Love those green specks! Of course, green is my favorite color. If you ever find more, I'd love to buy some. Trish

At first I thought your green rocks were like one of mine, until I dug it out. Doesn't seem to be the same thing But we both do have something in common... we have no idea what either of our rocks are Here's the rock that I thought looked like yours (Sorry, it's a little blurry)

Alice, it actually does look like mine, doesn't it? You have those bright green specks in a green translucent quartzy rock. I assume you tumbled it yourself? Where did you get it?
Trish, I just wish I could get more! We were way back on a forest service road in WY following the rock trail guide to a site...we found the site but not the objective of the search, just all these rounded colored rocks, some of which were way cool! (Like this one!)
