just started rock hounding and also some experimenting with some tumbling, carving , cutting and polishing any info or advice or recommendations for hounding near me. I have special areas I go, but would love to learn more and share mine.

Greetings from South Carolina. Good luck, there's a lot of people on the board from the southwest, so I'm sure some will have some places to share.

Welcome to the forum from central Arizona (near Aguila, Arizona) Sorry, I haven't done much hounding down south in Arizona but I'm sure others on the forum have.

Welcome.
Yuma was my spot to hit the dove opener. We always tried to make a point of hitting Imperial Date Gardens when we were there. It was always a fun trip.

Welcome from Northern Arizona!
Wish I could help you with hounding, but I've never even been down that far south.

from hot and humid Spring Valley, just east of San Diego! Yuma is a great spot to visit some old classic rockhounding areas. There are about a dozen spots in California between Hwy 8 and Hwy 10, and more in Arizona along the 95. Too hot for any of that now, but you're at the launch pad. Craig
