I'm hoping to be able to make decent enough cabs in a couple months to be ready to try wrapping some. Does anyone use niobium or titanium wire to wrap? I'm curious how these are to work with compared to the usuals.

I have not heard of people using these. They are more expensive, but I think they are harder, too.

I haven't heard of those types of wire being used for wrapping either. Generally copper, gold filled, and silver are the go to wire types for wire wrappers. That's not to say there aren't other types of wire being used. I would think titanium wire would be very expensive but not sure.

@nolefish just a question. Were you wanting to use them because you can change the color to get different effects?

Looking at those two because they are hypoallergenic. I have a couple family members with metals allergies. I work for a primary metals manufacturer that makes those metals, so they happen to be the hypoallergenic ones I’m familiar with.
Not that annealing for color change isn’t fun. 😁
