I got a small piece of rough from Tony through a BIN on Full Moon. I like to try out new stuff. I do some research on what a cab sells for and then look for a nice pattern. Ideally, Vista Grande has shiny white splotches. This piece only had a very small area near the edge but I saw enough of a pattern that it would be worth my time working on it. I cut 4 small slabs. Two have fractures and made two preforms from the solid ones. This material is much harder than the Desert Bloom and similar to Lucin Variscite. I haven't started grinding yet so my opinion is based on the trim saw cuts.
