This slab came with a label but in storage it faded to become unreadable. I want to list it in my Etsy store but don't have a name/locality. Can anyone ID it for me? TIA.

I would just call it brecciated jasper.

I would just call it brecciated jasper. Thanks for the comment. It's not brecciated jasper. It's some kind of moss agate, but I don't know the name or locality.

gemfeller can you post a little larger picture so I can see it better? These old eyes have a hard time seeing details on the smaller pictures.

It almost looks like some agate/jasper from Lavic siding but not quite. Sorry that was no help.

stephan , drocknut , hummingbirdstones Here's a bigger image. After studying much bigger images on my computer with a magnifying glass, I'm not so sure it's a moss agate as I posted earlier. It looks "sort've" brecciated but there are areas that look mossy. On reflection it does look a lot like Lavic Siding material I've seen drocknut . Can you or anyone confirm that from the new image? Thanks all.

That definitely looks like Lavic Siding Jasper Agate to me but I am no expert, just have collected there and seen a lot of material from there.

I'm not a Lavic expert by any stretch, but I think drocknut is right. When and did a search for images of Lavic and there were quite a few that looked really similar.
Thanks for the bigger picture, Rick!

I think we've nailed it as Lavic material. Many thanks to all who responded, especially drocknut.

Reminds me of Paul Bunyan agate

I thought about Paul Bunyan too, but the orange mixed in there made me doubtful.

I'll be a party pooper.
If we agree it's Mojave Desert material then south Cady's is a better match.
But so is Brenda, AZ and Holt Canyon Utah
If I was selling it I would be totally comfortable with South Cady mountain since you are comfortable it may be from that region.
Editing to rule out Paul Bunyan. It's beautiful but not this.
