Well I got home yesterday and I got a real neat gift from my wife- (no not that) MY SON HAS MOVED OUT- then I notice a package on the dishwasher- From KD!!!! Well I run down to the shop to open it but my wife makes me help with moving a chest of drawers to my new work shop (the kids old room) OK back to the package- I open it up and there sits a CE Single barrel tumbler (I needed an extra barrel for my dually) but theres a note telling me to open the barrel-well surprise- here was what KD forgot to clean out of the barrel! Not sure of the ID- KD what is this stuff- Incredible Plus This is an agate slab (brazilian?) Thanks KD You are truely wat too kind! Part 2 coming up in another post (for you dial ups!)

the top piece is Ocean Jasper, sorry to see it suffered a little breakage, i'm surprised really, they must have played ping pong with the box at the Post Office. second pic, Leopardskin Jasper and yes, last pic, Brazilian Agate. hey, just some stuff to practice your grinding, Stefan.
not sure if the tumber actually works, but Stefan seems willing and able to keep those little cantankerous suckers running and i'd long ago given up on it. glad to see it go to a good home.

Thanks again KD I thaought maybe Ocean Jasper on the first one (don't worry the fractured piece is perfect for a nice pendant) But that Leopardskin Jasper is Awesome- I don't even Know where to start with it! The Brazilian Agate is so cool also- I have a couple little projects in mind for it! As for the Tumbler- Well Lets say that Stefan has made a big mistake- I got the dang thing running- The motor works fine (for now) but the shafts were siezed up- the belt is still good so now I got to decide if I want to run it single or rework the dual (seems my bushing conversion took up 1/8 of an inch too much space so both barrels won't fit!!) Hmmm What to do- I'll keep everyone posted on the outcome of this present- Oh and Another thanks goes out to KD- Words just don't express how kind she is!

kindness has nothing to do with it, Stefan, i'm racking up karma points for when i lose my cool with some jerk in traffic and run his stupid a$$ off the road.
(kidding, really)

What a nice surprise! I think a lot of us here have benefitted from KD's generosity! I know I have. Everyone on this board is so special. I would love to meet you all. Trish

Well No- see my son moved out so I'm spending my evening converting his room to my rock shop- I hope to setup the grinder this weekend- But I promised my wife I would not work any rock until everything was moved (well except the tumblers- can't shut them down) But maybe I'll try to fire up the grinder (ahh I know I'll tell the missus that I need to drain the water drip!) and buzz some of this stuff- You know just for S&G's!
