Good looking stuff- Careful with the Malachite- It is pretty soft and will dissappear with the other stuff (run it alone!)

Wasn't there something about Malachite being extremely dangerous to grind also? Nice looking stuff Tonya, you'll have fun tumbling that.

Well, the piece of malachite sitting right above that quarter is really cool looking. Not sure if I want to tumble that piece or not. Though I think malachite is real pretty polished.

;Dcool rocks! love the pink botswana, i've never even heard of it before! looks like you got some great tumbling coming up, Tonya!
yeh, do the malachite with some softer stuff like sodalite. i bought a slab of malachite to cab but am waiting til i get better at cabbing as it was on the pricey side.
great selection of rocks!

Yea Malachite dust is toxic (something to do the copper sulfate or something) so grinding dry is a no-no- It does take a nice shine and is pretty easy to cab (yea right- the softer the material the harder time I have!)

Thanks, wasnt sure if those agates in that 3rd pic were botswana or not but know looking at them again, they may be. They were part of a 5lb mix I got so have been separating them and trying to identify ones I can. The dark one by the quarter is some kind of agate, it has a lot of dark swirls in it.
The pink botswana is kinda interesting, some of it is a solid pink color, some are swirls and the colors vary. Now I kinda wish I had bought the red botswana she had too.
