Some sort of fossilized coral? Sponge? I don't have a scale, but I'd say it weighs more then 10 pounds easily. For size reference, My sons hand (3 years old)

Fossilized coral- And a very nice chunk! The details are still nicely perserved (usually the tops of the corals are all mashed) cool find!

there's one more (about the same size) in the same place I found it. Think I'll go and get it think it would sell on ebay? I doubt very much it's a local rock though, more then likely a rock from the maritimes somewhere.

Could be local (well 100 million years old local Ha Ha) It probably would sell on Ebay- Fossils like that are pretty popular- Not worth a fortune but should be worth your while- Plus the size and condition makes them more desirable! Congrates!

Very cool find Alice! Looks like coral to me as well. I would sell it on ebay! I bet it will go for a good high price due to the condition and size. You go for it girlfriend!

Wow, that's very cool, nice find. I'd sure give ebay a try if I found something like that.
