Love the charoite! That one seems to have a lot of chatoyancy. I've had hit and miss success with cabbing charoite. It likes to come apart on me.

Beautiful, all of them. In this group I had a tie of my favorite, the Pietersite and the Charoite. Fantastic work!

Purple cow? LOL. Great name, and you made a wonderful cab from it. That and the charoite are faves.

I'm loving the charoite and the spider jasper. Gorgeous!!
How hard is charoite to work with? I've been curious but the thought of ruining it scares me!

I'm loving the charoite and the spider jasper. Gorgeous!! How hard is charoite to work with? I've been curious but the thought of ruining it scares me! This was as easy as working agate. But I have heard other people say it can tend to crumble and have other issues. So probably a range of grades of it available.

Great cabs!
Tied between the Charoite and Pietersite for my favorite, but I definitely want a coffin that looks just like that one when I croak!
