All of those are beautiful

Off the dop. Things went well. I split the Butterfly slab I had left and will get two cabs. This one is 6mm thick. The Morrisonite was from a scrap and the cab was nicer than the slab. The Morgan Hill has a minor vug which is typical of the cabs from that source and is difficult to see. A couple metallic spots showed up. I made a triangular preform with the Rhodochrosite from Paul and made this free form from a remnant. The Willow Creek was from Tony and the rough was ugly on the outside. The pattern goes all the way through the slabs.

Starts with e-rockhounding and ends with pictures. Retired, locked down and there are a lot of hours in the week. Good equipment makes the work fast and I just need to pace myself so my old body doesn't break down.

Those are beautiful cabs. I really like the first one.

Really nice cabs, my eye keeps being drawn to the brecciated one.
Apart from the E rockhounding that's me, Plenty of nice stuff finally seeing the saw and grinder. Spring in Australia so it's nice to be able to work stones again without freezing my hands.
