Yes, you look at the grain under a microscope. In this case it was a bit more confused looking because it it from a section of a root ball. Then you compare it to photo's of known material. I need to get it polished, maybe today!

That's real nice! I think still have a cab sized piece of that material I got from you a few years ago. If I can find it I'm thinking about grinding it for the cab contest this month. I'm kind of running out of time though (lol)

Yours glows without that tech. Lovely job.
