Cool stuff. The grain is gorgeous. How did you ID it as oak? Something about the grain, I’m guessing.

In this case it was a bit more confused looking because it it from a section of a root ball. Then you compare it to photo's of known material. I need to get it polished, maybe today!

Small section of oak roots that I am working on today! That's real nice! I think still have a cab sized piece of that material I got from you a few years ago. If I can find it I'm thinking about grinding it for the cab contest this month. I'm kind of running out of time though

WOW! That has to be one of the nicest pieces of petrified wood I've ever seen! I love the grains in that beauty!

I was playing with my UV lamp today and noticed that pretty much all of my petrified wood glowed nicely under UV-C. Yours glows without that tech. Lovely job.
