Finally!
This is the cab I've been trying -- and failing -- to post as video. I ran across some Oregon Sunstone rough I'd forgotten and decided to try cabbing it. This is the first of the batch.
It was a bit of a challenge. There was a fracture that ran right the edge of the schiller area and it took a lot of careful grinding (and hoping) to eliminate it. Fortunatly it wasn't as deep as I feared and the stone came out clean, with a reasonably good cushion shape.

Sorry. This video is set to private. Hmmm. It plays for me and I thought it would work for others. Guess that's what it means to be Private. I'm trying to upload to YouTube from my iPhone and everything shows up as a "draft," with no way to publish it I can find. The format isn't the same as I remember from previous uploads and it's driving me nuts. Help anyone? |

knave , Thanks, I've done all that but I must be missing something. I mark it public and schedule a publication time. But somehow nothing publishes and it remains a draft. If I leave the page all my settings are lost. Your vid shows up fine on my monitor.

I did see it revolving smooth green hi-dome gem then it went private Different one Ed. The chrysoprase was already published and marked public. The sunstone is one I can't figure out how to publish. |

Holy moley, that's gorgeous! Wish it was a little closer just so I could see the schiller. Thanks. I was very disappointed with the way the video was displayed. I'm still searching for a host that allows full-frame viewing. I'm also having trouble with my iPhone video focus - it wants to focus on everything but the object I'm trying to photograph. I fault myself: I'm like a Neanderthal trying to do algebra when it comes to this stuff. |
