rollingstone here are the pics of the slabs i got while in arkansas. i was really lucky to get these as they were hidden away from the customers. somehow a slab of the charoite had been put out in the main showroom amongst the other merchandise and i spotted it. i went flying to ask how much it was and she wanted to know where had i gotten that slab. almost like i'd done something bad lol. after i told her where i got it she asked me back behind the counter and pulled out her secret stash and oooooooh la la i got my pick of them. she explained while i was drooling that a man and his friend had come in one day and after they got back to florida the man called and asked if she had gifted his friend a slab of charoite and it turned out he's stolen it. the man returned it but she was protective of that secret stash afterward. seraphanite from the lake baykal region of siberia charoite from the charo river area in siberia banjo got some at the tuscon show. link to his charoite wrap www.banjo-creek.com/photo.htmlbanjo did you do a seraphanite wrap too? kim

I haven't yet but that is a good idea. I've kinda been working with Plume Agates lately. They have catpured my attention for the past week. But thanks for the incentive Kim.

RockyR, Thanks for posting those pics... great looking slabs! I can see why you were so thrilled to find them. Funny, but I find those slabs really pop images into my head. One look at your seraphanite slab and I instantly think, "frosted windowpane". One look at your charoite slab close-up, and I think, "river flowing over rocks". Hmm, maybe that's weird. Great slabs though.

They sure know how to grow rocks in Siberia! If it weren't so blasted cold, It'd be a great pkace to hound. Seriously tho, I'm stunned. Some of Mother Natures best work indeed.

When I first got started collecting spheres a few years ago those were the first ones Iwent after. In reading about charoite I found that the russian czars used it a lot and even used it as tile in their homes Wouldn't it be great to be able to get your hands on that kinds of amount..
