Nice hauls! I'm a fan of agates, so that one really stands out to me. However, that last pic has me intrigued as well. It's a REALLY spectacular looking rock!
What're your plans for them?

Beautiful! I just got back from a rockhounding trip to the Bozeman area and Point of Rocks on the Yellowstone was one of my stops. Found nothing even close to what you have. Did find some plain old white agates and some small pieces of pet/wood but nothing amazing like you have. I obviously have to spend more time in the area. I guess late summer is the best time due to low water? Seeing as I don't live in the area any way you could PM me with some suggestions as to where to hunt? Thx

That's a nice haul you found! I especially like the yellow petrified wood in the group shot. The polka dotted rock is very interesting. It's almost like an agate with inclusions but I've never seen anything like it before.

jasoninsd I am just getting started with rock tumbling and collecting, most of my stuff will get sold I hope on ebay or etsy once I get a site, I have to pay for the hobby. Some of the stuff will get sold in it's natural state and if anyone sees something they would like just pm me a offer. RocDog I am finding my sites by using google earth to find gravel bars and checking the FWP sites for fishing accesses, I have gone two 3 sites on the yellowstone so far and found pet and agates at all of them, no place is ever hunted out people always miss stuff.Check any fishing access you can find on the yellowstone and clarks fork river here in central montana and you will probably find stuff. The top pics are all from a spot just off hwy 212 that is a very popular fishing spot, I guess people are not looking for pet there, agates were few so that must be what they want there. The second set of pics I found the gravel bar using google earth looking for roads that led to the river and then did a google search on the road and found a link about the land owner at the end blocking access to the river and the county forcing them to open it 10 years ago, so I went to check it out after work. The clarks fork river is surrounded with private land so access is limited so I look for places people access it for fishing and get to gravel bars from there but most of the bars are on the wrong side of the river- I need a boat. kyoti I like that yellow one to but I wont keep it I will keep the agate on for now.

The last two pics appear to be a brecciated jasper
Some cool woods in there, and I like the “odd but cool” ones.
