very unusual.... I like the third one down .....do they reflect the colors surrounding or do they change as you view from different angles? donna

The colours are internal. The angle you look at it changes the colour.

Those are some nice cabs you've done BillE.
Are there any tricks to cabbing the labradorite? I just purchased a nice large slab, and I am about to get started cutting it up to cab.

That cab has FIRE- great job- Hey how about some tip on how to slab and cab it for best effect?

The only trick to cabbing is to make sure you have the base of the cab parallel to the side with the most flash of colour. Looking straight down on the rough, rotate it until you get the most colour flash, mark that side as the top of the cab and the side parallel as the bottom. Note labradorite is a variety of feldspar and has a hardness of about 6 and is slightly heat sensitive.
