Nice find! Looks much bigger once you got it home. They grow in the bed of a truck.

I saw this massive rock in your other thread. I was wondering what it was! Nice find!

Gotta wonder how much time rolling in the gravel it took to wear it down that much.

You might need a really long leash and a tall fence for that big bad pet! It's looking so amazing!

That piece is almost a log! Are you going to use it as a lanscape rock?

I wonder if it is a fossilized burl.

By the bottom pic I would say no, but by the top pic I would say who knows it could just be millions of years of abuse since that was the side facing up.

I am not sure what we are going to do with it yet. Any ideas ? Since you asked...If it were mine, I wouldn't cut it. To me, it's too special of a find and too special of a piece to part it out. I would leave it whole and have it as a landscaping rock. It would serve as a reminder of the trip...

I think it should be whole also, and I am sure cutting it would be expensive.

I've got more than a few large rocks in my yard that are quite happy to remain that way, and I concur. There are so many other smaller rocks around to be slabbed and cabbed.
