Nice examples of pudding stones! I can't believe the amount of pudding stone I've been seeing while hounding at Railroad Buttes here in SD. I've seen some down at Fairburn, but far more at the Buttes!

That's a neat selection of rocks you found. The one on the left looks like purple quartzite/ amethyst. Pudding Stones always make me smile for some reason .They just look cheerful. Are the grey and brownish banded stones chert?

Are the grey and brownish banded stones chert? Thanks The left purple quartzite one is also a pudding stone. Couple spots of jasper is all though. The banded ones are banded iron formation stuff The banded green types I'm not quite sure
