Hey Folks - I'm trying to replace the split nut on my older LS18 slab saw. I bout a new split nut, but it seems to be a little bit small for the feed rod. The old nut, the one I took off, fit tight to the rod all the way around. The new one fits at the edged of the circular part of the nut, but it won't seat tight to the rod. I've posted some photos that should show the problem. Is that because it's supposed to wear away as it's used, or are the newer ones a different size than the old ones? Anyone else deal with this issue? Thanks!

I know it looks like the rod is too small for the new nut, but the new nut is snug to the rod at the edge, so it's actually too tight and won't go in all the way to sit flush. It looks like the rod in mine is 1/2 20.
