Nice stroll down memory lane. I'll bet you could still wire wrap if you put your mind to it although groove wraps are so much easier, or so I've heard.

I remember when you were routinely posting great new wraps.
I had to go through my oldest pictures of work looking for an unnamed file the other day (aggravating) and pulled out a bunch for some inspiration. Maybe I should post some. It's fun to see old work.

Just unreal. this is my favorite. Thanks. Birdseye rhyolite. Only takes a satin shine but that one had a really cool pattern. Chuck

Yeah, the Birdseye also really caught my, um, eye. The bronzy wire really complemented the colors in the stone.

So crisp and clean! I dabbled in similar wrapping for a while but never got it past the knicks and scratches phase haha.

It’s sort of funny that your wraps look a lot like your groove wraps. They’re clean, simple and have very little wire covering the front of the rock. I might need to give those a try this winter.

I'm pretty amazed at the levels of talent on the forum. Chuck, your talents seem to know no bounds! (Pun kind of intended!)

I had to come back to look at the again. I have to agree with knave as my favorite seems to be the Birdseye Rhyolite as it really jumps out to me visually. I also have to second what @rocks2dust had to say...if you look at every one of these wraps, the color of the wire used and the patterns used when wrapping really compliments each and every stone so well!

I don't know what is more impressive: the cabs, the wraps or that you could find your old pics. So I will have to say, "All 3"

These are really amazing! I really like the bail work on most of them best. I also like the usage of square wire. I am fond of using it but don't utilize it as often as I could.
Thank you for sharing!

Great framing of the stone. Your wraps and shine are top notch.

Beautiful wraps!!! Amazing, in fact! Elegant, yet allowing the stones to take the stage.
With such good skills of wire wrapping, how did you feel the need to switch to groove wrap?

Adrian Thank you Adrian. Honestly it all came done to the market. If I tried to charge what I thought was a fair price for labor and materials on my full wraps they just did not sell fast enough for me to keep making them. I am not a pendant collector so in order to keep cutting the stones I have to be able to get rid of them in a reasonable amount of time. The groove wraps just fall into a better price point. My storage rack holds about 80 pendants so when that is full I completely stop until I see it needs more. Chuck
