Hi all. These are the latest out of polish. There are Koi Jasper, Sunset Jasper, Poppy Jasper, Laguna Agates and some misc. stones. These were in 60/90 for around 2.5 weeks, 5 days in 120/220, 4 days in 600, 3 days in 1000, and 5 days in polish-tin oxide. These were run in my accelerated tumbler, except for polish. I got busy during the coarse grind and didn't check them for about 6 days, and when I did, a lot of the jaspers were getting pretty small. The poppy jasper fractured pretty badly, but it seems to be the nature of this stone. Nothing that can't be fixed on the grinder. First plate: Second plate: All together: And a few stones worked on the grinder and will become pendants-someday. Laguna agates, botswana agate, Blue Swirlstone, sunset jasper and ameythst. Thanks for looking. Ed

Ed, Those look great! Wow, you did accelerate things...yet you seem to have achieved great shapes too.. did you speed up your tumbler or what?
In the 4th pic, you've got a great looking stone -- white with red lines...what is that?
I love the poppy jasper in the third pic, bottom-left. Got a close-up of that?

nice looking batch stoner!
I have 2 speedy tumblers and am finding they the grit disapears quite qickly without doing much to the rocks. I have to reload the grit every 2 - 3 days. Did you have this problem?

Very nicely done, those are beautiful. That amethyst looks like what I picked up called phantom amethyst, it is very pretty. Tami

Wow Ed, very nice. Love the color range and variety. I just love the loads that have lots of different colors and stuff. You've got a lot of nice pieces in there for jewelry. Great job!!

Stefan, Stoner (I believe) had a post up a while back saying that he raised the RPM on his tumbler making it go about 70 RPM, to make things go faster. That's what he means by accelerated tumbler

So Pretty! Great colors, I'm loving the Koi jasper. I've been working on some sunset jasper for a while now and parts polish really well while parts stay dull. Any tips?

That's a well balanced plate. Great looking stones, Stoner. I love the red and white ones, and the square yellow one, and... all of 'em. Joe

Hi all. Thanks for the encouragement.
RS-All the red and white stones are Koi Jasper. Really nice stuff. I was a little disappointed with the poppy jasper. It took a good shine, but had a lot of fractures. Next time I'll try using more pellets.
Alice-Try using less water-a lot less water. I recharge in 3 days and most of the grit is gone and a thick slurry has built up and the stones show good progress.
Jack and Cookie-The striped stones are the sunset jasper and Cookie, the darker bands don't take a polish as well as the colored bands, so maybe yours are as good as they are gonna get.
Stephan-Only the stones in the bottom pic were shaped on the grinder and they were not put in the tumbler. If I can't get a stone to take a polish on the grinder, I sometimes throw it in the tumbler with the next polish load.
Kim-The blue swirlstone takes an excellent polish on the leather belt with tin oxide. Really pretty stones, thanks.
