Fresh off the Genie  DSC_1625_Five cabs by Stephan T., on Flickr Top row: Stone Canyon jasper, unknown breccia, unknown moss agate Bottom row: Thunderegg core with an odd cut on leveling lines, the misnamed Turitella agate The Stone Canyon is the only one made from scratch. The others are repairs of flaws on previous cabs (removal of flat spots, scratches and rolled edges). The "Turitella" has a bit of undercutting/plucking. Another two were 90+% completed, but have some spots for improvement (scratches). |

"Reconditioned" is another alternate word choice!
All are sweet, but that Turitella is very eye-catching!

I like the Turitella agate as well. Too bad both parts of the name are inaccurate. Well, that’s the rock world for you.

Well, in the spirit of accuracy, cab #5 is Elimia spp. in silicified sandstone. Doesn’t quite have the same ring to it, but it’s honest and accurate.  |
