Here's mine. I call it Roger Rabbit. I believe it's Priday Bed Richardson's Ranch Mossy Thunderegg. Correct me if I'm wrong, please! Might look like a horse face or something else, to you! Looks like an angry rabbit to me.
That's a gorgeous cabochon Eric! I absolutely love making cabs out of thunderegg slices so this one is right up my alley.

EricD T-eggs without fractured matrix appear to be rare, as is moss that doesn't undercut. That is a very nice cab. Great work. opalpyrexia amazing cab as well. That is some cool material. Love the colors.

Well, alrighty, then.... Here, tentatively, is my submission: Valley Springs agate. Very old school. I was looking for a particular Richardson's T-egg slice, but couldn't find it. Also, since EricD did a T-egg, I'll keep the diversity of materials going. I like that this has cloud agate in addition to the moss. I'll also use the line that will probably be seen in many submissions: "I had some slight under-cutting of moss." I thought I was good until the last two wheel, but those have more rubber than diamonds, at this point.... So it goes. I am, overall, pretty happy with it. I like that it has a few threads of golden moss. A nice enhancement/accent to the otherwise monochromatic material. Free-handed this puppy around the soft and crumbly spots, and then made what appears to be my favorite shape. jasoninsd Well done, and nice recovery. I like the Salvador Dali teardrop shape. I used to make a fair number of those. I’ve been thinking about revisiting that shape for some variety. I think you’re learning that free form is often an alternative pronunciation of “my first plan didn’t work.” Keep going pic-heavy!

(Here is my entry for moss agate. I got this wonderful material from Oregon (Rick) after winning The Hampton Butte Tumbler Fodder Challenge. I left the dark matrix, because I really liked the contrast with the white.) Updated: After some more research, I have decided that I may have mis-identified this stone. I believe it is actually a Plume Agate, not a moss agate. So, I am working on another piece for the contest that I got from Drocknut. I will ask her for an ID to be sure before I post it. Thanks for the likes, I really loved how it turned out. I have a learned knowledge of rocks since working as a silversmith for 20 years, but sometimes I am geologically challenged and need to learn a bit more. Questionable ID, I think it is actually Plume Agate

Here is my new entry for Moss Agate. I got this material from Drocknut. She might can let us know where it came from, or if anyone else recognizes it that would be great too. I started with an oval in mind, but then realized that one of the fracture/seams running through the material was naturally healed but the other one was not. I tried grinding it down some more but still saw it. So I switched to the other half oval shape. I like how it turned out better. Rough slab with original oval outline First preform of oval Preforms of oval and half oval. You can maybe see the fracture seams on top of the oval piece. Alright folks, here's my entry for this month's contest. I enjoy this contest very much, thank you MsAli for the gentle push to get it done I had another shape in mind, but there was a few fractures in the slab so I closed my eyes & dropped it on the concrete floor. This is one of the pieces I ended up with. I don't know where this moss is from, any help on ID is appreciated. Edit - I just realized I didn't post the side view Good luck everyone!

Moss Agate from Big Bend/Needle peak area of TX. I purchased the material about 50 years ago. I threw this in with a tumbler batch of petrified wood from Aleman Ranch when I heard that the contest was Moss Agate. The red and orange colors inspired me to shape this cab as a heart. I oriented the moss up and down, which I thought would complement the heart shape. I liked this project because I was able to use what appeared to be a scrap material and turn it into a striking cab. Below is the front: Next we have the back: Showing the side-profile (I used a 6 inch radius wheel to form the dome): Below, I used a light to show the translucency: The original slab (about the size of a quarter):
